Why do people have to be SUCH asses?!
Why does my mom have to worry about me finding someone and being beaten because I want to hold their hand in public?!
Why does she just have to worry about me being myself?!
Why can't people just stop caring about others and start caring about themselves?!
Why can't ANYONE give me a logical reason of why people hate me for not lying to myself and being with the a person who TRUELY makes me happy?!


I was verbally attacked by some ass. (Which doesn't bother me, it happens a lot. But it REALLY bothers my mom.)

Also, these two people at the college that I want to go to were beaten into intensive care because they were gay. It COMPLETELY scared my mom. They were students who were beaten by people that lived off campus, but it started in the college's village. So now my mom has another reason to worry, and it just bothers me. I wish people could just stop being so damn hateful and be nicer to one another.

I REALLY hate people sometimes.

Okay, here's the dealy, yo. The Runway Reader Feedback Poll of Doom is at a near-deadlock. This is not good people! I can hardly believe, though, that over 50 of you have voted!!! Good lord that's a lot of poll! But feel free to pimp your team (Jody is captain of Team Skirt - rally around her. Team Skirt Nazi [NO SKIRT FOR YOU] still needs a champion - I suggest a Democratic election for leadership. Maybe a simple straw poll will do. Ya'll work on that), and encourage voting.

In other news, thanks to Izzy, I'm having wicked clear visions of Albus dressed as a gladiator, and it's making me so happy in the nether regions that, if you're a betting guy or gal, you should put money on the fact that it will appear in the story at some point. Humina humina!

I'm about to go take a much needed nap, so no more work will be done on Runway until tonight, so keep on voting! Yeah, I realize that this means the chapter will be quite late this week, but I wasn't expecting such controversy... I should have known better.

I am looking for a fic in which there is this really long test that the students at Hogwarts have to take as per the Ministry's orders and Harry and Draco have like 98 % match. They spend almost all night going over the answers to find out why. I think the question they both put down their names

1) H/D fic rec lists that are either a: REALLY old, or b: organized by FANNON era, i.e.: post POA, post GOF, etc.
2) H/D fics where Blaise Zabini is *gasp* a girl! I know this sounds silly, but I have been thinking about the Draco Trilogy a lot lately, and I LOVED Blaise in that fic. I don't really care if she's a bitch or if she's trying to come between Draco and Harry...Whatever you guys can dig up would be fine.

Also...if there are no H/D fic rec lists organized by fannon era, does anyone have really old links they'd like to share with me in order to create that list of fics in the chronological order they were written in?

I've never done long distance before, but let me tell you, it makes you appreciate the time that you spend with your SO even more. I met Jen on OKCupid and we decided to meet. She came to DC to spend time with me and in the span of time she was here, we fell madly in love with each other.

So yeah, next Saturday I'll be on a plane to Massachusetts to see her. I am going to meet all of her friends and her family and I'm kind of nervous!

As retold from my summer fling:

A girl comes home and announces to her mother that she's a lesbian. Slightly taken aback, the girl's mother tells to her go to bed and go to sleep, and they will talk in the morning. The next morning, the girl is lured down by the smell of bacon.

She sees her mother bent over the stove, cooking. The mother asks, "You are sure about being a lesbian?" The girl nods, and confirms. The mother asks, "You lick and kiss other girls down there, don't you?" The girl gulps, but then shakily says yes.
